What we do

Surgery isn’t the only method we use to treat vascular diseases. We’re also experts in non-surgical, medical, minimally-invasive and open surgical techniques. Not every case requires surgery, and our physicians will work with you to learn about your specific needs. We specialize in:

  • Carotid artery stenosis
  • Dialysis access
  • Lower extremity atherosclerotic occlusive disease (PAD)
  • Thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Venous disease, including varicose veins

Innovation

Our physicians are recognized experts in the field of vascular surgery. We’ve written more than 90 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and we’ve been invited to give more than 100 lectures on vascular conditions. Our physicians also provide training to the next generation of vascular surgeons in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado. Fellows from this program, as well as the program at Denver Health, seek out our experts for mentorship.

Who we are

We’re a team of vascular surgeons and a nurse practitioner that puts our patients first. We’re invested in the relationships we develop with you throughout your treatment. We believe this relationship, coupled with our integrated approach to care, will help us create the best care plan possible for your specific vascular disease.

Connected care

Our integrated care approach, using your electronic health record, allows us to make sure that your primary care provider is aware of the vascular care you receive with us. We partner with your provider to manage conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, smoking cessation, and other risk factors commonly seen in vascular disorders. For instance, we often work with interventional cardiology and interventional radiology doctors to help ensure that you receive the most thorough care possible for your vascular conditions. At Kaiser Permanente, all of our doctors are connected to each other and focused on you.

The way we practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente gives us the freedom to focus on care, rather than running a business. We are free to practice medicine the way it is supposed to be practiced — with a focus on providing expert, compassionate care to you.

Every member of your care team is here to support you through your journey. When you have excellent doctors, truly connected care teams, advanced technology, and the right partners, you can expect great results.

Each year, Kaiser Permanente doctors are recognized as top doctors by their peers and publications such as 5280 magazine. Some have joined us from top-ranked academic training programs and successful private practices. Others have been honored for their invaluable contributions to medical advancements and new surgical techniques that help patients heal quickly and with less pain.

Our hospital partners have a track record of success and are often recognized as regional or national centers of excellence for their specialties. We also partner with national organizations, contributing to large, cutting-edge, research projects.
