What we do
The highly knowledgeable professionals who make up the Kaiser Permanente Colorado Sleep care team take an evidence-based approach to managing the full spectrum of sleep disorders, a few of which include:
- Sleep apnea
- Narcolepsy
- Parasomnias
- Restless leg syndrome
- And more
We design our care around you, and our sleep studies are an example of this. Patients who need this service start by visiting the sleep department, where they learn about sleep apnea and complete a survey about their symptoms, sleep habits, and medical history. We conduct sleep tests in the lab or at home, depending on your needs. Those who have the tests at home receive instructions on how to use the equipment at either an individual appointment or in a classroom setting.
Learn more about sleep problems in our Health Encyclopedia and at the American Alliance for Healthy Sleep. If you just need to ask a question, message your doctor via kp.org.

Connected care
Our dedicated team of professionals uses evidence-based medicine to provide high-quality care. But we know that care doesn’t begin and end with the treatment of your sleep disorder. That’s why we coordinate your care with other doctors. We want to understand if there are any other underlying health conditions or problems that affect your sleep. We work with your primary care provider and, when necessary, any other doctors involved in your care to develop a plan that meets your health care needs. And we are all connected to each other — and you — through your electronic medical record. This means we are always on the same page when it comes to your care.
The way we practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente gives us the freedom to focus on care, rather than running a business. We are free to practice medicine the way it is supposed to be practiced — with a focus on providing expert, compassionate care to you.
Every member of your care team is here to support you through your journey. When you have excellent doctors, truly connected care teams, advanced technology, and the right partners, you can expect great results.
Each year, Kaiser Permanente doctors are recognized as top doctors by their peers and publications such as 5280 magazine. Some have joined us from top-ranked academic training programs and successful private practices. Others have been honored for their invaluable contributions to medical advancements and new surgical techniques that help patients heal quickly and with less pain.
Our hospital partners have a track record of success and are often recognized as regional or national centers of excellence for their specialties. We also partner with national organizations, contributing to large, cutting-edge, research projects.
