COLORADO ENDOCRINOLOGY CARE
The Kaiser Permanente Colorado Endocrinology Department provides comprehensive treatments that are based on the best evidence in medicine. We work closely with you, your primary care provider, and other members of your care team to create a plan that will help you lead a healthier life.
What we do
The Kaiser Permanente Colorado Endocrinology Department offers a full range of services. Some common endocrine disorders we treat include:
- Type 1 diabetes
- Thyroid disorders, including thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer
- Calcium and bone disorders
- Conditions involving pituitary and adrenal glands
We always have what is best for you in mind. Our endocrinology care team works closely with your primary care provider to make care as convenient for you as possible and to deliver the best care possible, every time.
Kaiser Permanente Colorado endocrinologists constantly seek new horizons and innovations in health by sharing best practices and using state-of-the-art treatments and technologies. We have presented research at the American Thyroid Association annual meeting on the evaluation of thyroid nodules and have participated in the study of a new blood test for monitoring patients with thyroid cancer.
Who we are
The Endocrinology Department has eight doctors and three advanced practice providers who specialize in diabetes. Our team also includes nurses who are certified diabetes educators to help manage insulin pump and glucose-monitoring programs, a dietitian, and a dedicated clinical pharmacist who helps with medication management.
Our doctors have trained and completed fellowships at the University of Colorado, Harvard University Health Services, the University of Michigan, the University of Texas health care system, and institutions.
Our endocrinology doctors work with specialists in different areas, such as head and neck surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, pathology, radiology, and many others. Usually, before you are seen by a provider in the Endocrinology Department, you will have met with your primary care provider to get your health history and to order various tests. That’s because we want your first visit with an endocrinologist to be as efficient and helpful as possible to start care that is specific to your needs.
The way we practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente gives us the freedom to focus on care, rather than running a business. We are free to practice medicine the way it is supposed to be practiced — with a focus on providing expert, compassionate care to you.
Every member of your care team is here to support you through your journey. When you have excellent doctors, truly connected care teams, advanced technology, and the right partners, you can expect great results.
Each year, Kaiser Permanente doctors are recognized as top doctors by their peers and publications such as 5280 magazine. Some have joined us from top-ranked academic training programs and successful private practices. Others have been honored for their invaluable contributions to medical advancements and new surgical techniques that help patients heal quickly and with less pain.
Our hospital partners have a track record of success and are often recognized as regional or national centers of excellence for their specialties. We also partner with national organizations, contributing to large, cutting-edge, research projects.
