for all
that is you
Our cancer care teams combine the latest research with advancements in technology to deliver aggressive treatments — with compassion
WE FIGHT CANCER BY GETTING OUT IN FRONT OF IT WITH SCREENING RATES THAT ARE RECOGNIZED AS SOME OF THE BEST IN COLORADO.1 After a cancer diagnosis, Kaiser Permanente board-certified oncologists and specialists collaborate to create your unique treatment plan. This team meets monthly at multidisciplinary tumor boards to share knowledge for the treatment of complex cancer cases.
Throughout your treatment, care coordinators will provide support so that you can live as normally and productively as possible. And when your treatment ends, you have resources for your new normal, such as complementary medicine, nutritionists, and mental health support.
Ned’s magical story: A radical approach to cancer
When a slip on a patch of ice landed Ned Nedbalski in the emergency room, a CT scan revealed melanoma had spread to his lungs. The hard-to-reach nodules were removed by his Kaiser Permanente surgeon using a state-of-the-art robotic technique, and now Ned’s back to wowing with sleight of hand magic.

Advanced cancer treatments
Technology is powerful. Within our connected system, it can do even more to help improve care and save lives. Our doctors are among the first to develop surgical techniques that identify and remove cancerous tumors at early stages to help get you back to health sooner.
The revolutionary tools and techniques we bring to treatment include minimally invasive procedures to reduce scarring from thyroid cancer surgery and a robotic surgical procedure that removes lung nodules as small as the edge of a pencil eraser — often decreasing lung cancer recovery time from three months to six weeks and reducing hospital stays by several days.

Breakthroughs in cancer care start here
Many of the most effective, cutting-edge treatments are the result of clinical trials. Through the nationally recognized Kaiser Permanente Colorado Institute for Health Research and studies done with the National Cancer Institute, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, NCI Community Oncology Research Program, and other organizations, we are examining new ways to improve early detection and treatment for genetic cancers; better predict and manage recurrent breast, lung, and colorectal cancer; and determine optimal screening times for lung cancer.
The findings of these studies are incorporated into clinical practices where we’re able to accelerate improvements in cancer care that are smarter, less invasive, and more personalized to you.

MEMBER
VOICES
Dr. Klancar listens to concerns (i.e. side effects of medication) and tries to find solutions that might help alleviate them. She is always caring and personable. And I appreciate that lab and tests results are published and messaged to me so quickly!
Dr. Narayanan took the time to explain everything to me. His knowledge is far-reaching as he is able to explain complex things in simple terms. What a gift that is.
